Youth Soccer Clinic
On January 3rd, 2011, in partnership with Give Running and WitnessHOPE, also not-for-profit organizations, a Youth Soccer Clinic was organized to expose the youth of Ghana to the skill set necessary to succeed in the sport. It focused not only on soccer skills, but also weightlifting, nutrition, sports psychology, and plyometrics as well as leadership, creativity and teamwork, the three pillars of iStandAbove.
The Youth Soccer Clinic was a magnificent success with a turnout of 96 athletes. Each of whom walked away with a bag, a water bottle, a t-shirt, and invaluable lessons both for soccer and life, as they know it. The soccer clinic was the first of its kind and was one of the largest clinics ever held in Ghana, as it received national television, magazine and radio coverage.
